The story behind SaberSwing.

I’m Matt, a lifelong baseball and softball guy. My dad coached me in just about every sport growing up, but baseball was always our thing. From t-ball through high school, he was on the field with me as coach and manager. We won a lot of games together, made countless memories, and he taught me almost everything I know about the game. I never got to play on the same team as him, but having him as my coach was the next best thing.
Now, as a father myself, I’m fortunate to be able to pass that on, coaching my son in baseball and sharing the same love of the game with him.
These days I’m still swinging the bat in slow pitch softball. Like many of you, I’m a total stat nerd. I wanted a clean, powerful, and truly offline way to track my hitting with real sabermetrics: AVG, OBP, SLG, OPS, wOBA, spray charts, and more. When I couldn’t find exactly what I was looking for, I decided to build it myself.
That’s how SaberSwing was born.
